Trace stolen crypto

See where your money went, hop by hop, and whether it reached an exchange or stablecoin that can still be frozen.

Every crypto payment is recorded on a public ledger called a blockchain. That means a stolen payment leaves a trail, even after the scammer moves it on. ChainFreeze reads that trail for you and explains it in plain words.

What a trace shows you

  • Every hop. Each time the money moved to a new wallet, with amounts and times.
  • Splits. When the money was broken into smaller amounts to hide it.
  • Who received it. We label known exchanges, mixers and bridges. An exchange is good news: it knows its customers and can freeze accounts.
  • Freezable stablecoins. If your money is still held as USDT or USDC, the issuer can freeze it.
  • Where the trail ends. If funds reach a privacy coin, we tell you plainly. See when the trail goes cold.

What you need

  1. Your wallet address: the address you sent from.
  2. The transaction hash of the payment that sent your money away. Open the payment in your wallet app and copy its "hash" or "TxID". Where to find it.
  3. An email address, so we can tell you if the money moves to an exchange.

Chains we trace

Chain Common coins Status
Tron USDT (TRC-20), TRX Live
Ethereum and 60+ EVM chains ETH, USDT, USDC Live
Bitcoin BTC Live
Solana SOL, USDC, USDT Live
Monero XMR Cannot be traced

Most scams we see use USDT on Tron, because fees are low and transfers are fast.

After the trace

If the trail reaches an exchange or a stablecoin, the next step is to ask for a freeze and report it to the police. If it has not landed anywhere useful yet, monitoring alerts you the moment it does.

Trace where your crypto went (free)

Takes about 2 minutes. You need the address you sent from and the payment's transaction ID.

Tracing improves the chance of a freeze but never guarantees recovery. We never ask for upfront recovery fees.

Common questions

Is tracing really free?

Yes. Tracing, alerts and a do-it-yourself freeze letter are free for victims. Optional documents start at $49. There is a daily limit on new traces to stop misuse.

How long does a trace take?

Usually under two minutes. Very busy trails can take longer; we show what we have found so far.

Can every coin be traced?

Most can. Public chains such as Tron, Ethereum, Bitcoin and Solana record every transfer. Privacy coins such as Monero hide them, so the trail goes cold there.
