Terms of use
ChainFreeze traces crypto and helps you ask for a freeze. It is not legal advice, and no one can promise your money back.
These terms are a draft. Our legal partner, Al Kabban & Associates, is checking them before launch, including which country's law applies.
What ChainFreeze does
ChainFreeze follows crypto payments on public blockchains, shows where the money went, warns you when it moves, and drafts letters asking exchanges and stablecoin issuers to freeze it. Only those companies, the police and the courts can freeze or return funds. We cannot, and we never promise that your money will come back.
Not legal advice
Our pages, traces and letter drafts are general information. Check a letter before you send it, and speak to a lawyer if you need advice on your situation.
Free for victims, within fair limits
Tracing, alerts and a do-it-yourself freeze letter are free for victims. To keep them free and stop abuse, there is a daily limit on new traces and reports. Law firms and agencies use the paid plans.
Paid documents
You can buy a Findings report or a Complete pack for a case, at the fixed price shown before you pay. Payment is handled by our reseller, Lemon Squeezy, which also handles tax and refunds. A document does not promise that your money will be frozen or returned.
When you ask us to send freeze letters for you, you confirm that the facts in them are true and that the funds were taken from you. We send each letter in your name to the company's published address and to any addresses you add, with you copied. We are not your lawyer and do not act as your legal representative. Please also send the letters yourself.
Our police report and evidence pack are designed to help you file a police or criminal complaint, but procedures differ between countries, and some police may not accept them or may ask for their own forms.
Using it fairly
You agree not to:
- trace wallets in order to harass, threaten or expose a person;
- send false or malicious scam reports;
- overload, copy in bulk or try to break into the service.
We may block anyone who does.
Scam reports
When you report a scammer, you confirm it is true to the best of your knowledge. We show how many people reported something and what type of scam it was, never who reported it. We may hide reports that look false. If something about you is listed by mistake, tell us and we will review it.
Accuracy
Blockchain data and wallet labels come from outside sources and can be wrong or incomplete. A label such as "exchange" is an indication, not proof of who controls a wallet.
Our responsibility
We provide ChainFreeze with care, but as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by decisions made using it, or for what exchanges, issuers, police or courts decide.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the bottom of the page shows the latest version.
