How we write

• Every page is written for someone who has just lost money and is stressed: short sentences, plain words, one clear next step.
• We never use "recovery" promises. We describe what exchanges, issuers and police can really do.

How we check facts

• Facts come from official sources: issuers, exchanges, regulators, courts and police. We link them under each page.
• Pages about law or freeze requests are reviewed by a lawyer before they are marked as reviewed.
• Every page shows when it was last reviewed.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction at the foot of the page. Tell us through our About page.
