Transaction hash (TxID)

The unique ID of one crypto payment: a long string of letters and numbers.

In plain words

Every payment gets its own ID, like a receipt number. It is usually 64 characters long, sometimes starting with 0x.

Where to find it

  • In a wallet app: open the payment in your history and look for "Transaction hash", "TxID" or "View on explorer".
  • On an exchange: open your withdrawal history and look for "TxID".

Why it matters if you've been scammed
